Introducing Sharon: Helping to heal after Cyclone Gabrielle
We’re thrilled to introduce Sharon, our new addition to Napier Family Centre’s counselling team. With a compassionate heart and wealth of experience, Sharon joins us in a specially created role aimed at providing crucial support to communities and individuals affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Sharon brings a unique and holistic approach to her counselling practice, rooted in her rich background in kaupapa Māori services. She firmly believes in a client-centred philosophy, where she tailors her methods to suit the individual needs of each person she works with. Sharon is incredibly adaptable and flexible, walking alongside individuals on their unique journeys to healing and resilience.
Her expertise spans a wide range of areas, including strategies for managing stress, anxiety, grief, and addictions. With experience in supporting individuals through trauma, including intergenerational trauma, Sharon is equipped to provide the guidance and support needed during challenging times.
Above all, Sharon is deeply committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. In her own words, “I walk alongside the person, helping them uncover the solutions and answers that often lie within themselves.”
