Think of your family social worker as someone who will be there to support you, offer advice and help you find solutions to problems. If you are committed to improving your family life, we are here to help you. To contact us, click here.
For urgent and emergency needs like food parcels, emergency housing, clothing, furniture and bedding, we will endeavour to source these or refer you to another agency, service (e.g Budget advice or charity).
Our social workers can help with all sorts of things. We have helped teenagers into alternative education when traditional school isn’t a productive environment for them. We have sourced bikes for clients without a car and we have advocated for them with other services including Housing NZ, WINZ and CYF.
If we can help you please get in touch.
Clients can contact us directly for help from our social workers or you can be referred to us. We regularly receive referrals from doctors, lawyers, midwives, teachers, etc.
Upon contact we will arrange a social worker to meet you at your home within 1-2 weeks.
At this meeting (usually around an hour) we can discuss what areas you need help with and offer advice. Our social workers are skilled and knowledgeable in many areas so there are lots of ways we can offer help.
We will meet with you each week for 12 weeks at your home as we work together towards your goals.
